(2010). The best lead for a feature story is one that sounds natural, grabs the readers’ attention and matches the mood and tone of the story. There are some common feature leads such as Allusion leads, Anecdotal leads, Contrast leads, Parody leads, Narrative lead, Descriptive lead, Startling statement leads, Question lead, and Quotation lead.
